Long View
Situated at the heart of the breathtaking Waternish Peninsula, Long View is a contemporary three-bedroom retreat designed to showcase Skye’s natural drama in complete comfort. With uninterrupted sea views, elegant interiors, and every detail thoughtfully curated, it’s a place to relax, reconnect, and soak up the beauty of the island’s wild edge.

The Space
From the moment you step inside Long View, the scenery takes centre stage. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping vistas across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides, flooding the open-plan living area with light. The space is modern yet warm — a calming palette, soft textures, and a wood-burning stove create a sense of understated luxury.
The kitchen and dining area are ideal for gathering — fully equipped, beautifully designed, and opening directly onto a private terrace where you can dine al fresco as the sun sinks behind the horizon. Upstairs, a quiet study space offers a peaceful retreat to read, work, or simply take in the ever-changing views.
The home sleeps six across three stylish bedrooms: two serene king rooms, and a twin room perfect for children or friends. Each of the three bathrooms is elegantly finished, featuring spacious walk-in showers and contemporary fittings. Every detail — from the quality of the linens to the curated artwork — is chosen to make your stay effortless and memorable.
At night, step outside and look up: Long View is situated in a designated Dark Skies area, where the stars feel close enough to touch.
The Area
Waternish is one of Skye’s most captivating corners — peaceful, scenic, and rich with character. The peninsula offers a perfect blend of seclusion and discovery, where rolling hills meet rugged coastline and every turn reveals a new view.
Guests can visit the charming village of Stein, home to the Stein Inn (Skye’s oldest pub) and the renowned Loch Bay Restaurant, celebrated for its Michelin-starred seafood. The area is dotted with local craft studios, including Skye Skyns, Skíō Pottery, and a number of artisan galleries and workshops.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Waternish is ideal for coastal walks, kayaking, and wildlife spotting — keep an eye out for seals, otters, and even dolphins offshore. And when you’re ready to explore further, Dunvegan Castle, Neist Point Lighthouse, and the island’s stunning northern landscapes are all within easy reach. Check out our Locations page and its tailored map to help you plan your visit.
Tranquil, authentic, and undeniably beautiful, Waternish offers a true escape — the kind of place where time slows down and the island’s magic feels all your own.
